Pattee Dunville Hibbs
Apr 20, 2018She was born on May 29, 1930 in New Orleans, LA to the late Charles Franklin Dunville and Dorothy Ogden Dunville and was raised in Madisonville, KY.After graduating from Madisonville High School, Mrs. Hibbs received an Associate of Arts Degree in Child Development from Stephens College in Columbia, MO. She also attended Peabody College at Vanderbilt University and the University of Kentucky.Pattee lived in Madisonville for most of her life, but did reside in Florida, in both North Palm Beach and Tampa for several years. Her greatest joys were spending time with her family and lifelong friends and worshipping her Lord wherever she could find a group of fellow believers. She will be remembered as a kind-hearted and gracious mother, friend, and sister in Christ who listened well, loved deeply, and prayed "without ceasing."In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her former husband, Joseph Edward Hibbs, Sr., and many family members from Hopkins and Webster Counties.She is survived by two daughters, Susan (William) Schaefer of Tampa, FL, Linda Katheryn (Sean) Sears of Greenville, SC; one son, Joseph Edward (Vicki) Hibbs, JR. of Madisonville, KY, six grandchildren, Lauren Renshaw Ewing, Lesley Prescott Peters, Benjamin Davis Prescott, Erin Hibbs Kinkead, Samuel Jordan Sears, and Patrick Harrison Hibbs; and her five great-grandchildren, Penn Peters, Estelle Peters, Bella Kinkead, Abby Kinkead, and Abe Kinkead.Friends and family are invited to attend a graveside service at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Odd Fellows Cemetery.
